Job Description
Mechanical Design Engineer Itasca,IL $30-$40/hr depending on experience We're looking for a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to develop complex mechanical systems and deliver high-quality custom machinery. Responsibilities Create preliminary and final designs, drawings, and BOMs Manage projects and meet key milestones on time Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Service, Purchasing, and vendors Troubleshoot design/manufacturing issues and lead root-cause solutions Support continuous improvement and new product development Occasional domestic/international travel Requirements Strong mechanical design skills Proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar) and AutoCAD Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to produce accurate, first-time-right designs Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Outlook and ERP systems Preferred Strong customer relations Team-oriented mindset Solid time-management skills
