Job Description

Junior Engineer responsibilities:
Creates CAD models of components using current and accepted practices and procedures. Designs die castings, sand castings, permanent mold casting, extrusions, and injection molded parts along with associated drawings. Designs sheet metal components, brackets, and other parts along with associated drawings. Assist in the development of mechanical designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, including 3D modeling for product development. Support project scheduling activities to ensure timely completion of engineering tasks and milestones. Creates other detailed component drawings. Manages various projects as assigned. Confers with engineering and other staff to determine design modifications for product improvement. Creates and/or modifies BOM assemblies. ? Issues ECN's as required for drawings, parts and BOM changes. Creates shop assembly and customer installation instructions.
Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar 3D modeling tools. Basic understanding of project scheduling methodologies and manufacturing processes. Knowledge of materials engineering principles with experience in polymers or plastics is highly desirable. Laboratory experience involving materials testing, analysis, or characterization techniques. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in engineering data analysis and statistical methods. Understanding of manufacturing processes including injection molding, blow molding, fabrication, and quality control practices. Knowledge of GD&T standards
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
