Job Description

About the Role As a Mechanical Systems Design Engineer, you will spearhead the development of custom automation, tooling, and precision machinery. You will leverage your expertise in 3D modeling and mechanical systems to drive innovation, ensuring our manufacturing processes remain efficient, reliable, and cutting-edge. Responsibilities Develop conceptual designs for complex tooling, tube-forming systems, and automated material handling equipment. Generate comprehensive 3D models, detailed component drawings, and assembly schematics using CAD software. Manage the full lifecycle of design projects, including bill of materials creation and component sourcing. Integrate hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical systems to optimize machine performance. Collaborate with shop floor teams to refine fabrication processes and provide technical guidance during assembly. Conduct rigorous testing and quality assurance to validate design functionality and installation standards. Prepare technical documentation, including setup sheets and operations manuals, to support seamless production. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience. 3+ years of experience in machine design or tool engineering. High proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD modeling software. Strong ability to manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously while meeting budget constraints. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Preferred Skills Experience with tube-forming or high-precision industrial automation. Demonstrated ability to mentor technicians on new equipment operation. Familiarity with industry-standard regulatory compliance and safety guidelines.
