Job Summary:
This internship offers hands-on exposure to large-scale manufacturing projects, including GW-level advanced manufacturing or renewable energy facilities. The intern will work closely with experienced engineers on real engineering tasks such maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment. This is a technical, project-based role, not a clerical or administrative internship.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop a solid understanding of assigned equipment, including system functions, key components, normal operating conditions and preventive maintenance. Apply structured troubleshooting methods to identify and resolve equipment issues. Understand and support effective spare parts control and inventory management. Apply basic manufacturing excellence principles to improve workplace efficiency. Develop the ability to work effectively with production, process, and engineering teams. Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
Seeking an Associate's degree or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field. Ability to work effectively during assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, or other non-standard hours as required. Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
