This position will be in the Engineering R D group. Under broad direction, the Project Engineer will work from established requirements to design and develop complex components and systems that have world-wide applications. The Project Engineer position will determine specifications through engineering calculation, layouts and evaluation of the existing internal knowledge base. Additionally, the individual will oversee the assembly, start up, and implementation of Laidig equipment. The Project Engineer will also provide technical expertise as required to the rest of the organization. This will be a leadership position with room for challenging existing practices and finding even better ways to serve our customers through product innovation. Laidig is looking for a positive, high energy, self-directed individual to join our growing team. A BSME or equivalent is required. A hands on, technical background is preferred. Exposure to hydraulic systems and control systems is a plus. Desktop applications used will include but not be limited to the following: General, Microsoft Office, Outlook. 3D and 2D CAD; SolidWorks, AutoCad. PDM; dbWorks. FEA; SolidWorks Simulation.
