Job Overview As a Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for developing and designing engineering solutions that support the construction and operation of mechanical and piping systems in a variety of process facilities based on the needs of our clients.
Responsibilities:
Mechanical Engineering services Design and drafting services using AutoCAD and SolidWorks (steel fabrication and mechanical piping) Process piping layout and design Design and layout of stairways, mezzanine, and structural members Design of material handling racks, conveyors and equipment Project cost estimating Print take offs of bill of materials Project charting and flow charts Management of all projects from small to large (coordination of materials, equipment and labor) Problem solving to customer specifications Communicate with the internal team and external customers throughout the project Overseeing project completion
Requirements:
Proficient in Solid Works Ability to travel outside of Indiana as needed
Experience/Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering Hands On experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry a plus Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.) Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy Able to provide a quick turnaround in a fast-paced industry Good communication skills Peña's offers a comprehensive benefits package, including: Company vehicle (if applicable), medical, dental, vision, long term disability, short term disability, IRA + employer match, life insurance and AD&D, paid time off and paid holidays.
