Job Description

As a Senior Technical Validator here at Honeywell, you will support technical validation activities for engines, power systems and mechanical controls systems for Aero and UAM aircrafts. Your responsibilities will include the review of drawings for manufacturability, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to industry and internal standards; verify geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to ensure proper fit at next-level assembly; and review 3D model integrity to ensure accurate translation to CAD and CAM tools. You will act as a technical lead for less experienced engineers supporting you. You will also lead continuous improvement efforts including knowledge capture, design standards, tools and process improvements. You will report directly to our engineering leadership, and you'll work out of our Tempe, AZ, Torrance, CA or South Bend, IN location. This position is within the Mechanical Design, Technical Validation & Standards team, part of Aerospace Engineering and Technology, Control Systems (CS) organization.

  • YOU MUST HAVE
  • + Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics + Demonstrated experience utilizing Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). + Demonstrated experience in product development. + Demonstrated experience of industry standards. + 7+ years of relevant engineering experience.

  • + Significant experience in drawing detailing and drawing changes for new and legacy programs.

Series. + Significant experience with Honeywell Aerospace mechanical drawing requirements and industry drawing standards. + Familiarized with tolerance stack-up analysis (axial and radial). + Proficiency in CAD tools, NX preferred. + Experience with PLM tools, Teamcenter preferred. + Knowledge of unique manufacturing and design requirements for aerospace applications. + Capability to work with self-direction, take initiative, exercise sound judgment, discretion, and capable of complex decision making in a dynamic work environment. + Proven ability to present and effectively communicate technical details to varying audiences. + Demonstrated ability to modify work schedule to satisfy challenging customer demands and compressed project schedules. + Proven ability mentoring others. + Experience working with global teams across time zones.

  • BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL
  • The annual base salary range for this position is $117,000 - $146,000.
Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
