Job Description

Our client is a global leader in musculoskeletal healthcare. They design, manufacture and market orthopedic reconstructive products; sports medicine, biologics, extremities and trauma products. Their products and solutions help treat patients suffering from disorders of, or injuries to, bones, joints or supporting soft tissues. Alongside some of the world's top healthcare professionals, they help deliver new possibilities to patients. This position involves technical and hands-on identification, evaluation, and development of technologies, utilizing the candidate's skill sets as well as those of the team members to recommend and pursue future pathways. Frequent communication with internal and external customers is expected. Both teamwork and individual contributions are valued. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for learning, an innate curiosity, and be a technical leader. Assists in the development of individual research and testing project plans. Is knowledgeable of the capabilities and operation of sophisticated test methods in their area of expertise, preferred Is familiar with national and international testing standards related to work in their assigned laboratory, is preferred. Maintains good oral and written communication skills, to participate in meetings related to the research and testing program, and provide timely and accurate reporting on project progress and completion. Monitors scientific and medical literature for advancement relevant to the assigned research and testing objectives. Consults with and provides technical evaluations for other departments (Development, Manufacturing, Legal, etc.) Will assist in development of test programs, formulate test protocols, and choose appropriate test equipment.
Skills:
Technical knowledge in science, engineering, or relevant discipline. Strong personal curiosity in a broad array of technologies. Strong communication skills (both oral and written). Experience in laboratory testing & test equipment, is preferred. Possess knowledge of statistical analysis, is preferred Inquisitive ability to analyze problems and develop solutions
Education:
Minimum of a BS in Engineering. 3 years' experience in an academic or industry setting. Experience in orthopedics or medical device field is desirable.
Pay:
$80.00 - $110.00 per hour
