Job Title:
Mechanical Engineer Lenexa Manufacturing Company is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and manufacturing of automated food processing and packaging equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD software and a strong mechanical aptitude. This position will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and controls integration teams to develop innovative solutions and support existing equipment. Experience with electrical controls, PLC systems, or SolidWorks PDM is beneficial but not required. Responsibilities Design and modify mechanical components, assemblies, and production drawings using SolidWorks. Support manufacturing by answering questions related to drawings, assemblies, and bills of materials. Assist with maintaining engineering documentation and SolidWorks PDM records. Collaborate with electrical controls integrators and manufacturing personnel during machine development. Provide technical support for customer inquiries and assist with documentation and equipment manuals. Participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts for existing products. Perform other engineering duties as assigned. Requirements Proficiency with SolidWorks drafting, part modeling, assemblies, and sheet metal design. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. Experience with machine design is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Self-motivated with a positive and professional attitude. Willingness to travel up to 15% for equipment installation or service support.
