Full Job Description Overview:
Kice Industries is seeking a Research and Development Engineer to join our innovative team. As a Kice R D Engineer, you will be responsible to conceptually define, design, model, analyze, and characterize concepts related to the bulk material handling industry. In this role, you will provide technical expertise of the design, manufacture, and applications of products in the pneumatic conveying market. The ideal candidate will be able to appropriately plan and see assignments through to completion with minimal direction, develop timing, meet project schedules, manage risks, and systematically solve problems. He or she will also help lead the organization in identification, evaluation, and implementation of new technologies and methodologies to enable next generation products, improve costs and quality, as well as improve product development processes. This role will involve cross functional collaboration across all Kice Industries as well as external customers and suppliers. Beginning with an idea, vetting the feasibility/impact to Kice, and staging the ending or passing on of the concept to a team that will complete design for manufacturing and sale.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field required. 5+ years' experience as an engineer supporting a variety of manufacturing environments. Experience with SolidWorks, PTC Creo, or similar CAD software. Deep understanding of FEA/CFD software; SolidWorks Simulation, Ansys, or similar. Knowledge in developing engineering documentation including DFMEA's. Experience working with vague, early concepts/ideas and bringing them to life. Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy. Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently, and work within deadlines. Continually evaluating the emerging and existing technologies in this fast paced and ever-changing field.
