Job Description

Use your engineering expertise to help drive the future of Honeywell Building Automation. In this role, you will work alongside some of the industry's most talented engineers to develop the next generation of HVAC and field‑device products. You will participate in the full product lifecycle—from concept and design through testing, manufacturing, and launch—contributing to the success of complex engineering programs. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging, high‑impact projects that support customers around the world. You will broaden your technical capabilities by collaborating with experienced engineers and by taking on assignments that expand your knowledge of hardware, embedded systems, and verification methodology. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for verification and validation of a variety of embedded products, including test planning, test design, test execution, reporting, and supporting continuous improvement of our test processes.
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Test‑engineering experience with electromechanical and electronic products. Familiarity with various testing methodologies such as STLC, TMM, TDD, MBT, system testing, manual/automated testing, and test‑estimation techniques. Experience with reliability and test‑related methodologies (e.g., Design for Reliability, Design for Test, ALT, HALT, HASS). Experience designing electrical circuits for test equipment or product prototypes. Knowledge of common communication interfaces and protocols (e.g., RS‑232, FTP, TCP/IP, RedLINK™, Wi‑Fi, Zigbee, Z‑Wave).

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials, product data sheets, software algorithms, and specifications. Ability to design mechanical components for test fixtures or equipment. Hands‑on experience with data‑acquisition systems and test automation tools such as LabVIEW. Strong skills in writing test procedures, reports, and using test‑tracking systems. Ability to manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across cross‑functional teams, including leadership of small teams. Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.

3/11/2026 The annual base salary range for this position is $92,900- 116,200K. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, modify, review, and optimize test plans, test fixtures, and test procedures; execute hardware tests. Identify, analyze, and manage issues; develop troubleshooting strategies and validate design fixes. Set up test fixtures and tools; design new tools, test equipment, and data‑analysis utilities to support product development. Investigate issues and defects, perform root‑cause analysis, and manage findings using defect‑tracking tools (e.g., JIRA). Provide analytical support to design engineering, manufacturing, and field teams to resolve product issues. Maintain thorough documentation, including test reports and test‑equipment records.
