Troubleshoot mechanical and equipment-related problems and develop practical solutions. Support engineering projects from initial concept and design through fabrication, assembly, testing, and implementation. Work directly with manufacturing and shop personnel to resolve equipment, production, and design issues. Assist with equipment maintenance, repairs, modifications, and replacement projects. Design custom tooling, fixtures, and other equipment used in manufacturing and assembly processes. Evaluate existing machinery and designs and recommend improvements for performance, reliability, safety, and manufacturability. Provide hands-on technical support during machine assembly, installation, testing, and troubleshooting. Travel to customer locations for machine installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, service, and project support. Maintain and update engineering documentation as required. Minimum of 2 years of recent SolidWorks experience, including SolidWorks CAM. Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills. Experience creating and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics. Hands-on experience working with machinery, manufacturing equipment, or mechanical systems. Familiarity with industrial control systems and basic electrical troubleshooting. Ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and follow projects through to completion. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with engineers, machinists, technicians, and other manufacturing personnel. Strong organizational and communication skills. Willing and able to travel extensively to customer locations, both domestically and internationally. Preferred Experience Experience with industrial machinery or custom equipment design, electrical wiring and troubleshooting, machine controls, custom tooling and fixturing, and working directly with machinists and fabrication personnel.
