Job Description

The Equipment Engineer II is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of production equipment. This role ensures equipment reliability, supports process optimization, and leads equipment-related validation activities to maintain efficient and compliant manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure reliable operation and minimal downtime. Support the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment, including execution of Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ). Apply calibration and metrology principles to ensure equipment accuracy and compliance with required specifications. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to diagnose and resolve equipment issues. Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Monitor equipment performance metrics, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and downtime trends, to identify opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and improve production yield. Provide technical support for production line equipment and automation systems to maintain operational efficiency. Develop and execute equipment validation protocols and documentation in support of manufacturing and quality requirements Top 3 technical skills required for the role: Change Order experience IQ/OQ/PQ and validation experience Equipment and Calibration expertise
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's preferred
Years' Experience Required:
3-5 years (open to less experience with strong internships/co-ops)
