Hardware Systems Engineer responsible for owning complex hardware projects, executing rapid design cycles, and making system-level technical tradeoffs for aerospace and defense applications. Job Requirements Demonstrated experience serving as the responsible engineer or hardware owner for a technical project. Experience delivering hardware projects on accelerated development timelines. Strong knowledge of first-principles physics. Experience evaluating technical tradeoffs across complex engineering systems. Experience applying structured systems engineering or technical review processes. Experience with hardware design, development, integration, and technical decision-making. Ability to work on aerospace and defense systems, including weapons platforms. Preferred Skills Experience in fast-paced hardware startup environments. Experience working at an engineering or manufacturing startup. Aerospace engineering experience. Experience with large-scale industrial equipment. Experience with furnaces, HVAC systems, turbomachinery, manufacturing equipment, or similar complex hardware systems. Experience with systems engineering design reviews and technical trade studies. Experience supporting rapid hardware development and production scaling. Job Responsibilities Own hardware systems or subsystems from concept through delivery. Develop and execute engineering plans for complex hardware projects. Perform first-principles engineering analysis to support design decisions. Evaluate technical trades involving performance, cost, schedule, manufacturability, and system requirements. Apply systems engineering processes to large and complex engineering programs. Lead or support technical design reviews throughout the development lifecycle. Develop hardware designs and engineering solutions on accelerated schedules. Identify technical risks and implement design changes to resolve engineering issues. Support hardware integration, testing, validation, and production readiness activities. Coordinate technical decisions across mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and systems engineering disciplines. Support development of aerospace and defense hardware systems.

Pay:
