We are Ambitious We are Determined We are Visionary We Value Each Other We are Dependable Festo is currently seeking enthusiastic Mechanical Engineering Interns to support design, prototyping, and validation activities within the LifeTech Business Unit (Laboratory Automation). This internship is a unique opportunity to work with experienced professionals in an innovative and fast-paced engineering environment. We are committed to providing our interns with hands-on, practical experience that will provide a solid foundation for continued growth in their careers. Duties and Responsibilities Design components and assemblies using CAD (Creo Parametric) Create technical production and assembly drawings. Build samples for testing, proof-of-concept models, mock-ups, and functional/appearance prototypes. Identify and interface with third-party suppliers and integrate their components into designs. Support advanced R D initiatives and prototyping efforts in collaboration with cross-functional team members. Participate in cross-disciplinary design and development projects. Identify emerging technologies to help define future product development opportunities. Research advanced materials and manufacturing processes. Contribute to project schedules, milestones, and deliverables. Support positive team interactions to achieve program objectives. Experience and Skills Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Strong CAD skills (preferably Creo Parametric). Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment. Self-motivated with a willingness to learn. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Flexibility and comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Basic understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM). Basic knowledge of functional dimensioning and geometric tolerancing (GD&T). Demonstrated knowledge of materials and common manufacturing methods.
