65/Hourly U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law We are hiring an Engineering Technician to support the design, testing, troubleshooting, modification, fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of electronic and electromechanical systems, prototype equipment, experimental circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, and specialized test equipment. This role requires an active DoD Secret security clearance at the time of hire and hands-on experience with engineering laboratory activities, equipment calibration, electronic and electromechanical troubleshooting, fabrication, testing, and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

Support engineering activities involving the design, testing, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, and specialized test equipment. Layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic and electromechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems. Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, and systems. Perform calibration and alignment checks on equipment and systems. Construct, modify, debug, test, and adjust tools and equipment using engineering drawings, parts, and technical instructions. Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions in support of engineering laboratory activities. Conduct and document experiments under the guidance of senior technicians. Fabricate basic hardware, tooling, and fixtures required to support specialized engineering tasks. Organize and analyze test and experimental data to identify cause-and-effect relationships and recommend resolutions or process improvements. Implement practical solutions that improve technical processes, equipment performance, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law. Department of Defense Secret security clearance required at time of hire. Associate's degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Minimum of 1 year of relevant technical experience. Fundamental knowledge of and proficiency with related engineering tools, test equipment, and laboratory equipment. Ability to fabricate simple hardware as required. Working knowledge of computers and test equipment. Ability to construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, diagnose, test, and maintain electronic or electromechanical equipment and systems. 1st Class FCC License and Solder Repair certification may be required based on assignment.
