SCHEDULE

On-Site. Must commute to North Reading, MA and Westborough, MA 5 days/week

DURATION

: 7 month contract with potential for extension

Overview:

Mechanical Engineer will ensure products leave manufacturing fully tested and validated. Work involves collaboration with test, process, controls, and design engineers to: Design and execute testing solutions (manual and automated) Prototype and iterate designs Fabricate components Test equipment in real-world environments

Group:

Manufacturing Test and Controls Engineering Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with R D, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams Perform engineering analysis and maintain documentation Work professionally with SolidWorks Execute full product lifecycle: concept → design → prototyping → testing → validation Conduct engineering modeling and hand calculations Perform FEA (ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation) Design mechanical subsystems (motors, actuators, sensors, safety systems) Create documentation (design specs, drawings, validation plans, compliance, maintenance)

MUST HAVES

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 4+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience with strong engineering fundamentals Hands-on experience in design, prototyping, build, and iteration (rapid prototyping) Experience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM Experience with PLM systems Ability to commute full-time onsite (North Reading & Westborough, MA) Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills (written & verbal)

NICE TO HAVES

Knowledge of electromechanical and control systems Experience with Oracle Agile PLM Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Westborough, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.74/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
