Citizen Responsibilities:
The Test Engineer will plan, direct, and conduct developmental testing related to vehicle mounted obscuration systems and countermeasures for protecting military vehicles from weapons/missiles with optical or electro-optical sensors. Work will support the DoD and US Army's efforts to protect our warfighters on the battlefield. This Engineer will also help design, develop, and test new obscurant grenades and dissemination systems and the experimental modification of existing equipment. Provide engineering support for the planning and conduct of developmental testing for military vehicles with mounted obscuration grenades or generators Support research and development projects involving materials, explosives, and/or equipment related to military obscurants Support projects with design and fabrication, mechanical, electrical, and/ or military expertise requirements Write and contribute to presentations, technical reports, and publications
Education :
Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical or electrical), physics or related field. Additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay:
$90k - $120k
Schedule:
40 hrs/week 401K with up to 4% employer matching contribution 3 weeks (120 hrs/year) Paid Time Off (PTO), Federal holidays, and

Must be a U.S. Citizen able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance 5 years of related experience supporting vehicle testing Must be proficient in planning and conducting testing in the laboratory and field Strong problem solving and analysis skills Excellent communication skills in English and the ability multitask, prioritize, and complete work within schedule Bonus points if you have: Experience with testing military vehicle obscuration systems such as grenade launchers Experience with research or testing related to the explosive dispersion of materials
