Job Description

Test Engineer Location:
153 Dixon Drive, Chestertown, MD 21620
Work Hours:
8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through
Friday Pay Range:
$60-$80k per year The Dixon Group is currently seeking a Test Engineer to join the Boss Division located in Chestertown, MD! In this role, you will oversee comprehensive testing services for various Dixon divisions and clients, support the maintenance of laboratory equipment, and specialize in detailed analysis and formal documentation of test results. This position is well-suited for a detail-oriented leader dedicated to understanding technical mechanisms and utilizing strong communication skills to report formal findings.
What You'll Do:
Utilize an extensive array of equipment to assemble hose fittings and prepare specialized samples for rigorous testing procedures. Provide comprehensive testing services to evaluate and ensure the proper functionality and compatibility of components. Conduct detailed analyses of results and establish optimal testing methodologies to maximize the operational performance and compatibility of test samples. Maintain precise and meticulous documentation regarding all findings and subsequent test results. Compose and distribute formal reports summarizing testing activities and communicate critical findings to both internal and external clients. Communicate with internal and external clients to gather all necessary information needed. Manage logistics and priorities of Test Lab workload. Oversee and execute preventative and corrective maintenance protocols on all assembly and testing apparatus. Manage formulation of departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and formal Work Instructions. Establish and enforce safety measures and standards. Manage calibration requirements for measuring and testing equipment.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science Preferred 1-2 years of experience in engineering including: Failure analysis Data analysis Mechanical systems and/or processes Excellent technical problem-solving skills Strong written and oral communication skills Detail-oriented Strong computer skills (proficient in all Microsoft Office applications) Proficient troubleshooting and data-interpretation abilities Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities Project management skills Failure analysis Data analysis Mechanical systems and/or processes
