MECHANICAL ENGINEER - FULL-TIME
| ON-SITE |
ROSEDALE, MD
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a full-time, on-site position in Rosedale, MD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and improvement of mechanical systems and machinery. This role requires strong AutoCAD expertise, hands-on engineering experience, and end-to-end project involvement—from initial concept and research through execution and completion. Responsibilities Design, model, and develop machinery and mechanical systems using AutoCAD and other CAD software Lead and support engineering projects from concept through completion Perform research and development (R&D) to support product improvement and innovation Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, operations, and quality Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and refinement of prototypes and final products Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations Support continuous improvement initiatives in design and production Qualifications Railway or railroad industry experience (strongly preferred) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field 2+ years of professional experience in mechanical design or engineering roles Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software A ready portfolio of work created using AutoCAD is required Strong understanding of machine design principles Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines Familiarity with materials selection, fabrication methods, and mechanical systems Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment #IND1600
