Description:

The ideal candidate will be familiar with the US Navy aircraft carrier modernization and maintenance process, particularly planning and executing refueling complex overhauls (RCOHs) of aircraft carrier propulsion plants. Strong technical background in one or more of the following areas is preferred: steam turbines or reduction gears. In addition, expertise in one or more of the following areas is preferred: fluid mechanics, strength of materials, fasteners, shock analysis, GD&T, and/or repair of complex machinery. This position requires the use of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.

Qualifications:

US Citizenship. BS in Engineering. 5 years of relevant experience. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, be organized, and have strong project management skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Newport News, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
