Mid-Level Design Engineer#26-00800
New Hudson, MI
Onsite Job Description Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Vehicle and Product System Design and Development.
System physics modeling and characterization.
CAD system and component concept development and packaging.
Application of linear-static Finite Element Analysis in design optimization.
Technical drawing generation.
Prepare and present project status reports.
Test design, development, and reporting (DVP&R).
Project Support
Support and resolve customer problems using mechanical, analytical, CAE and project management skills.
Prepare technical specifications.
Develop testing methods and procedures.
Support manufacturing by answering questions and responding to ECRs.
Requirements:
In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, tasks relating to the following area will be assigned as required. Experience in parametric 3D modeling and ASME Y14.5-Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Be a team player. Have great attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong work ethic and pride in their work products.Years of Experience:
Minimum 3yrs engineering employment experience.Required Specialized Skills And Knowledge:
Catia and/or NX CAD experience.ANSYS/FEA
tool experience. Windchill product lifecycle management. Drawing, Detailing & GD&T application Sheetmetal structures. Component Integration Full Vehicle understanding and how systems interact with each other. Strong technical writing, communication, team, and organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).Education:
BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent.
