This position will play an important role as an engineering communication bridge between OEM customers, Sungwoo Hitech Korea HQ engineering teams, global manufacturing plants, and suppliers. The ideal candidate should have strong engineering fundamentals, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to develop expertise in automotive body structure engineering.   • Support automotive body structure product development activities with OEM customers and global engineering teams.
  • Review and analyze 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using engineering tools such as NX and AutoCAD.
  • Develop an understanding of automotive structures, mechanical design concepts, manufacturing feasibility, and product requirements.
  • Support RFQ activities including:
  • BOM preparation and organization
  • Customer requirement review
  • Technical package preparation
  • Engineering data management
  • Support engineering feasibility reviews including:
  • Product design evaluation
  • Stamping/formability review coordination
  • Assembly and manufacturing process review
  • Participate in Product Development Team (PDT) meetings with Korea HQ engineering teams and support technical discussions.
  • Coordinate engineering communication between North American OEM customers, Korea HQ, global plants, and suppliers.
  • Support supplier technical reviews to ensure customer requirements, specifications, and project timing are achieved.
  • Prepare engineering reports, technical presentations, benchmarking materials, and RFQ/new program review documents.
  • Support customer engineering meetings, design reviews, and follow-up activities.
  • Assist new program development and launch activities by tracking engineering issues and coordinating solutions with related teams.
  • Business travel within North America and other global regions may be required based on project needs. Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Professional working proficiency in both Korean and English.
  • 1-4 years of engineering experience preferred. (Recent graduates with strong internship/project experience will also be considered.)
  • Basic understanding of: Automotive body structure / Mechanical engineering principles /Engineering drawings / Manufacturing processes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with global cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated mindset with willingness to learn new technologies and automotive development processes. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with NX, CATIA, AutoCAD, or other CAD software.
  • Knowledge or experience related to: o Body-In-White (BIW) o Stamping process o Welding / joining technologies o Automotive assembly processes
  • Understanding of automotive OEM product development processes.
  • Experience with engineering change management or customer communication is a plus.
Salary:
Start at $70,000 per year and can be varied depending on the relevant work experience and qualifications.
