Contract Role Overview The main function of a mechanical engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality, and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes. This role requires the ability to create engineering drawings and interpret blueprints to support product development and manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices. Analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine the time and cost feasibility of projects. Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operations and provide recommendations to maintenance crews. Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using appropriate tools, equipment, or software.
Required Qualifications Education:
A Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
Experience:
5-7 years of relevant experience is required.
Technical Skills:
Ability to create sketches, engineering drawings, and perform common computations. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. Previous experience with engineering software, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD). Demonstrated creativity, verbal and written communication skills, and analytical problem-solving ability. Compensation & Benefits The anticipated pay range for this position is $60.00 to $70.00 per hour. Please note that the final pay rate will be determined by a variety of factors, including experience and skills.
