Project Engineer (Design Release Engineer) Premier Staffing Solution
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with interior trim systems, product development processes, CAD design, release management, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, integration, and release of interior hard trim and overhead system components. Define product requirements and ensure successful execution throughout the development lifecycle. Coordinate testing, validation, and design verification activities. Manage engineering releases, change control, configuration management, and effectivity through established product development processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and suppliers. Drive issue resolution related to fit, finish, ergonomics, manufacturability, and quality. Support continuous improvement initiatives through lessons learned and structured problem-solving methodologies. Balance technical requirements with business objectives including cost, mass, complexity, timing, and quality. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Experience with:
DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) GD&T application and interpretation Familiarity with structured problem-solving methodologies, including: Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green Belt certification or higher Red X methodology Success ProfileCandidates who thrive in this role typically demonstrate: Proactive problem-solving and issue identification. Ability to effectively navigate ambiguity and changing priorities while delivering results.Pay:
$65.00- $75.
