Electronic Development Department What You Will Do:

Oversee the advanced research of current practices and future trends related to E/E architecture and power distribution systemsSupport and lead local testing efforts related to North American regional environmental testing of low-voltage battery performanceDesign and develop an auxiliary power distribution controller (PDC) for NA programs that could potentially expand to the main power distribution controllerLearn (via training) the HMC (Hyundai Motor Company) program deliverables and milestones for respective vehicle programs; align ECU design timing to the overall vehicle program timingEstablish a DV/PV test plan for design componentsSupport supplier selection processSupport component specification requirements developmentEstablish component design and development timing plan(s)Ensure timely meeting of design milestones and deliverablesTrack all issues related to the design/development of the componentEnsure resolution (with root cause and corrective action) and document lessons learnedLead/support meetings with R D colleagues, component suppliers, and cross-functional teamsSupport on-site production activities in NA manufacturing facilities (when applicable)Create and present reports for management to review. Report content will vary depending on the scope of work; however, reports commonly include the status of projects relative to their successful delivery.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automotive engineering, or a related field3+ years of body electronics design and validation experienceExperience with engineering projects related to the design and development of components for vehicle electronicsKnowledge of vehicle electrical architectures and systems designElectrical circuit knowledge or design experienceWorking knowledge of CAN communication protocolExperience in root cause analysis and corrective action plans for electrical systems and componentsAbility to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAdept in Microsoft programs, such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and WordAn ability to prepare reports/spreadsheets (when needed) to support project-related workExcellent time management, self-management, and organization skillsStrong written, oral, and interpersonal skillsStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to diagnose complex issues (e.g., failure analysis) and develop robust solutions under tight timelines and in cooperation with adjacent teamsValid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in electrical engineering, automotive engineering, or a related fieldExperience and understanding of

ECU HW/SW

design, vehicle electronic architectures and systems, network bus communication, wiring/connectors, DV/PV testing, and supplier managementElectric vehicle-related experience is a plusFlexibility with program and process changes. Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis may make late changes to satisfy customer needs.

Experience with electrical hardware packaging (i.e., CATIA or similar CAD programs)
