Job Title:
Test Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to perform electro-mechanical testing, including environmental, electrical systems, and power/EMI testing. The role requires 50% of power testing at the PDA lab and additional testing at the Element Testing lab in Bloomington. The position involves hands-on testing and lab documentation, as well as technical writing of procedures and testing outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct electro-mechanical testing, including environmental, electrical systems, and power/EMI testing. Perform 50% of power testing at the PDA lab and additional testing at the Element Testing lab in Bloomington. Utilize Linux and Python for basic software programming related to testing. Create and manage documentation using MS Office and Word. Handle communication systems racking and Telecom tasks as needed. Test mechanical structures, electrical components, connectors, and wiring/cabling for power and transmission (Ethernet, Fiber, and power). Familiarize and execute testing tools and procedures. Perform 50% hands-on testing and lab documentation, including opening cabinets to investigate issues. Compose technical writing of procedures, testing instructions, outcomes/results, and parameters of testing to meet pass/fail standards. Follow Mil-Std regulations and qualifications from the Defense/Aerospace industry. Essential Skills 1-4+ years of experience in electro-mechanical testing. Proficiency in Linux and Python for basic software programming. Experience with MS Office and Word for documentation. Familiarity with testing tools and execution of tests. Understanding of Mil-Std regulations and qualifications from the Defense/Aerospace industry. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering, or an Associate degree in Testing Technology. Experience with communication systems racking and Telecom. Experience in the Defense/Aerospace industry is a plus. Work Environment The work environment involves engineering tasks in both the PDA lab and the Element Testing lab in Bloomington. The role includes hands-on testing as well as technical documentation. The engineer will work with advanced testing tools and equipment in a structured engineering environment. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Burnsville, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
