Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer to design and develop manufacturing solutions, support new product and tooling development, and help move projects successfully from concept through production. This position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, customers, and suppliers to develop tooling and processes that meet customer requirements while supporting quality, cost, timing, safety, and continuous improvement objectives. Key Responsibilities Design manufacturing solutions, including tools, dies, fixtures, machines, and related equipment, to meet customer requirements and manufacturing needs. Create design concepts, sketches, layouts, strip layouts, 3D models, and detailed drawings using computer-assisted design (CAD) software, including SolidWorks as applicable. Interpret customer drawings, models, specifications, and quoted requirements to develop practical, cost-effective manufacturing solutions. Assist with quoting by developing concepts, evaluating manufacturing feasibility, and estimating materials, labor, tooling, equipment, cost, and project timing. Work directly with customers, suppliers, tool room personnel, and cross-functional teams to resolve design, tooling, manufacturing, and quality issues. Provide production support through process set-ups, monitoring, adjustments, troubleshooting, and root-cause problem solving involving equipment, tooling, materials, and processes. Support new product and process development from engineering handoff through production launch, including validation, control plans, cost justification, and related launch activities. Manage multiple engineering and design projects, schedules, priorities, and project touch points while ensuring effective follow-up and follow-through. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and processes to increase efficiency, improve quality and process stability, reduce scrap, and lower labor, material, and production costs. Prepare specifications and select appropriate materials, components, tooling, and equipment for manufacturing applications. Maintain engineering drawings, CAD files, records, project/job tracking, and other technical documentation in an organized and comprehensible format. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, Sales/Estimating, and other departments to support production schedules, customer expectations, and successful project execution. Promote safe, ergonomic, and environmentally responsible manufacturing practices and support applicable quality standards and company procedures. Other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent related education and experience may be considered. 2-5+ years of related engineering, tooling, machine design, or manufacturing experience preferred; advanced design responsibilities may require additional relevant experience. Proficiency with CAD software; SolidWorks experience strongly preferred. Experience with tool, die, fixture, and/or machine design; experience with large assemblies is beneficial. Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to interpret 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, specifications, and manufacturing requirements. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams. Strong organizational, time-management, follow-up, and follow-through skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Tool-making or hands-on manufacturing experience is a plus. Professional Attributes Collaboration, integrity, innovation, and personal accountability. Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
