Job Description

Overview Condux Tesmec is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Mechanical Engineer / Technical Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this position is to create drawings for custom applications, update drawings/BOM's, provide support to our service techs and assist with the training of our customers on Condux Tesmec products. If you have mechanical engineering experience with heavy equipment and want to do more than just sit at a desk this could be the position you have been looking for. Company The Company sells equipment for the installation of Overhead & Underground Transmission & Distribution Powerlines in US & Canada. We are a small local company, part of a worldwide group active in design, manufacturing and sales of products, technologies and integrated solutions for the construction, maintenance and efficiency of infrastructures related to the transport and distribution of energy, data and material. The product portfolio consists of stringing equipment: machines such as puller & puller-tensioner, reel stands, reel winders, pulling rope, blocks and tools. Supervisory Responsibilities None Duties Lead mechanical design efforts using CAD software, creating detailed mechanical drawings, schematics, and 3D models for our industrial machinery. Oversee the product development lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, creating drawings, and BOMs. Perform root cause analysis on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical failures or issues, implementing corrective actions to optimize system performance. Conduct physical and computational tests to evaluate performance, structural integrity, and safety of designs, and making modifications to improve reliability. Apply manufacturing knowledge to improve processes, support service team, and ensure compliance with industry standards while practicing in an industrial engineering environment. Requirements Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or mechatronics is required, or 5 to 7 years of equivalent work experience. Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with hands-on involvement with industrial machinery. Strong proficiency in CAD software, ERP systems, Microsoft software products, and familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) tools is preferred. Valid driver's license and passport required. Knowledge of machine design principles, tolerance analysis, and mechanical detail drawings aligned with ASME standards. Ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently and communicate technical information clearly across teams. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Must be able to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept directions on given assignments. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
