What to Expect The team is seeking a hands-on Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who will be responsible for the entire product design and production lifecycle of fluid handling products — from research, prototyping, design, testing, validation, sourcing, production tooling and lifecycle support of existing products. This role is critical to bringing our leading products to market focused on our next generation of advanced pumps and fluid handling products. This role reports directly to the VP of Research and Development. What You'll Do Solve problems using sound engineering principles Design industry leading products in a small team environment Collaborate with and provide guidance to other engineers to create leading electro-mechanical fluid systems Use SolidWorks and other tools to design components, assemblies, drawings and simulations Validate designs using physical prototypes, modeling analysis, internal and external testing Select component materials for physical properties, chemical compatibility, and certifications based on engineering knowledge and research. Build and test prototypes and initial production devices Maintain accurate design and production specifications Author and manage engineering change orders and other documentation Design for manufacturability and cost Support certification and compliance activities, ensuring designs meet relevant regulatory and industry standards Perform tasks as needed in a small company environment including industrial design, manufacturing engineering, project management, What You'll Bring Proficiency in 3D modeling, Cad, and simulations Experience in fluid handling and pump design Collaborative team player with positive attitude Outstanding integrity, attention to detail, and confidentiality Self-starter, quick learner, and ability to multi-task on a regular basis Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team Enjoys variety of the job with no task that's too big or too small Ability to apply good judgement, sound engineering principles, strong work ethics & integrity on the job
Required Qualifications Mechanical Engineering:
3+ years in pump design Mechanical 3D design: 5+ years Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
