You will evaluate operational failures, design bespoke mechanical subsystems, perform advanced calculations, and oversee builds from concept to final site installation.
Key Responsibilities Problem Analysis:
Research complex mechanical challenges and define functional requirements for custom equipment or upgrades.
Design & Modeling:
Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CAD tools like SolidWorks.
Engineering Calculations:
Run analytical checks for stress, thermal expansion, kinematics, and tolerance stacks to ensure structural integrity.
Prototyping & Testing:
Build and test prototypes or initial production runs to validate operational performance.
Cross-Functional Execution:
Collaborate with electrical, controls, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to guide assembly and resolve real-world build issues.
Documentation & Compliance:
Prepare clear technical reports, bills of materials (BOM), and validation criteria aligned with industry safety standards.
Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience:
3-7+ years of hands-on experience in machine design, custom automation, or engineered-to-order systems.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD) and a strong grasp of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Problem-Solving:
Proven track record of root-cause analysis for mechanical failures and hands-on shop-floor debugging.
Communication:
