Mechanical Engineer Join Ichor Systems Ichor Systems is a leading provider of fluid delivery subsystems and components for the semiconductor capital equipment industry. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of innovative products used in high-tech manufacturing environments. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop mechanical solutions that meet customer requirements while supporting quality, manufacturability, and performance goals. What You'll Do Design and develop mechanical products and components to meet customer specifications in a precision manufacturing environment. Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using CAD software, preferably SolidWorks. Develop product specifications and select appropriate materials and components. Build, test, and evaluate prototypes to validate design performance. Analyze test data and recommend design improvements. Support product development from concept through production release.
Generate engineering documentation including:
Bills of Materials (BOMs) Mechanical drawings Design calculations Schematics Technical reports Design test fixtures and develop testing methods and procedures. Perform engineering analysis to determine design feasibility and product performance. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve product quality and production efficiency. Support customer issue investigations and product improvements. Provide technical support for sales, applications, and customer inquiries. Participate in cross-functional engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline. Minimum of 5 years of mechanical design and product development experience. Strong proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks. Experience creating engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate design documentation. Preferred Qualifications Experience in semiconductor equipment, fluid delivery systems, ultra-high purity (UHP) systems, or related industries.
Knowledge of:
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Tolerance analysis Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Experience working within the complete product development lifecycle. Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
