Job Description

PAR Systems, a world leader in engineering intelligent solutions is growing its Mechanical Engineering team. Bringing a proactive mindset to work, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will work with Advance Engineering, Manufacturing, Controls, and Software engineers to create innovative custom automation solutions. Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, the work you do could help bring lifesaving medical technology to millions.
Success Criteria:
Every great project starts with a great design. Your experience with SolidWorks and other CAD modeling tools will help bring automation concepts developed by our Advance Engineering team to life. You'll take a lead role in directing small design teams and providing mentorship within the team and be seen as a leader in the mechanical engineering discipline. You will lead internal and external design review meetings to ensure the overall system design is consistent with PAR's high standards as well as unique customer and project requirements. You'll be hands-on with your designs while supporting machine build and checkout activities and will validate new design concepts through proof-of-concept and feasibility studies in our robotics lab. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll serve as one of the key technical voices shaping the direction of the Mechanical Engineering function. You'll have opportunities to influence standards and drive improvements in how we design and build equipment, helping make our engineering processes more efficient, repeatable, and scalable for future projects. We offer market competitive pay and benefits based upon the candidate's skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Our starting rate of pay for this salaried position is targeted at $100,000-130,000 annually. BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering 7+ years of experience in design of automated manufacturing systems, or similar Experience with 3D CAD modeling packages - SolidWorks is a plus Ability to manage system design from the concept phase through modeling and detailing on a tight timeline Demonstrated ability to own and drive projects to completion and to consistently deliver on commitments Willingness to travel to customer sites to support installation and commissioning of machinery. 10-25% travel may be required periodically.
