Job Description
Join a well-established contract medical device manufacturer that specialize in solving complex manufacturing challenges in a highly collaborative environment. This is a great opportunity for a Tool Designer that wants the opportunity to combine CAD design, injection molding expertise, tooling development, and cross-functional collaboration while supporting innovative medical technologies from concept through production. What you'll be doing: Design and develop injection molds, fixtures, and precision tooling using 3D CAD Lead DFM reviews and collaborate with customers, suppliers, and engineering teams Support mold flow analysis, tooling validation, troubleshooting, and production readiness Drive tooling improvements to enhance quality, reliability, and manufacturability Manage engineering changes, technical documentation, and regulatory compliance Provide technical support for quotations, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives What they're looking for: Associate Degree in Mechanical Design, Tool Design, Engineering Technology, or related field (Bachelor's preferred) 5+ years of injection mold or precision tooling design experience Experience designing complex molds including multi-cavity, hot-runner, insert molding, or overmolding tools Medical device, regulated manufacturing, or contract manufacturing experience preferred Advanced 3D CAD skills, ideally with SolidWorks Strong understanding of injection molding, tool steels, polymers, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFM Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills Experience working with customers, suppliers, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams
INDMAIN Pay:
