Senior Test & Evaluation Engineer Berkeley, MO Long Term Contract Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Test & Evaluation Engineer to lead the development, execution, and analysis of complex test systems and procedures. This role requires a deep understanding of test engineering principles, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Development & Standardization Lead the creation and documentation of standardized test methods and processes to ensure consistency, repeatability, and efficiency. Develop detailed test procedures and instrumentation configurations aligned with test plans. Apply lessons learned to continuously improve test methodologies. System Design & Calibration Design calibration systems, test fixtures, and test hardware/software to meet specific test requirements. Generate calibration procedures and develop supporting software and data processing tools. Ensure functional verification and validation of all instrumentation systems prior to testing. Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze, process, and format test data to meet customer specifications. Review and approve test data, including off-nominal results, ensuring accuracy and integrity. Prepare and present comprehensive test reports and internal presentations. Leadership & Collaboration Guide and mentor junior engineers and technicians in test system design and execution. Lead test team debriefings and provide technical direction during test programs. Interface effectively with customers, integrated product teams (IPTs), program management, suppliers, and stakeholders. Project & Risk Management Participate in proposal development, including labor and material estimates. Develop project plans using project management principles to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals. Act as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) and support Earned Value Management and risk/issue/opportunity management.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry. Minimum of 9+ years of relevant experience (or Master's with 7+ years, or PhD with 4+ years). Strong oral and written communication skills. Experience designing and implementing test systems and analyzing complex data sets.
