Job Description

Mechanical Project Engineer Join our team and help build projects that make an impact. We're looking for a driven Mechanical Project Engineer who is eager to grow, contribute, and support both field and office operations. In this role, you'll work closely with our Project Management and Field Teams to improve efficiency, deliver quality projects, and support the company's goals. What You'll Do You'll play a key role across the full project lifecycle, including: Office Responsibilities Support estimating efforts: set up estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, track historical data, and learn computer take-off software. Prepare and manage project documents including submittals, O&M manuals, contracts, and permit applications. Assist with material purchasing and tracking, timecards, purchase orders, and general project documentation. Help pre-plan projects by organizing drawings, specifications, meeting materials, and procurement needs. Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners. Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures. Field Responsibilities Aid with project layout, daily documentation, and coordination of job site activities. Support safety and quality control efforts. Review submittals and shop drawings as assigned. Verify material deliveries and quantities. Learn how multiple trades and scopes integrate on a project. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (ABET-accredited), or 5+ years of relevant field experience. Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. Positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Timberline is a plus. Skills for Success Desire for continuous learning and career development. Ability to build strong working relationships across teams. Interest in mastering both office and field operations to grow into project management or estimating. Understanding of job cost tracking, labor management, and change order processes.
