Jackola Engineering and Architecture in Bozeman, Montana is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with an Engineer Intern (EI) Certification to join our full-service design team. In this collaborative role, you'll work alongside multidisciplinary professionals, clients, contractors, and vendors to bring innovative projects to life. You'll contribute to a diverse portfolio, including office buildings, schools, multifamily residences, hotels, restaurants, banks, and retail spaces—plus other high-profile developments. Occasional travel to job sites for client meetings and site observations may be required to ensure seamless execution. If you're eager to apply your expertise in a dynamic, team-driven environment, we'd love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Support senior engineers throughout design and construction. Identify and solve problems with a goal to provide relevant and constructable solutions. Work in a multidiscipline team environment to develop and design HVAC and plumbing concepts, systems, drawings, and specifications. Coordinate with external suppliers, internal design teams, and manufacturers. Major equipment selection and scheduling. Use various software packages to calculate building loads including heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing systems. Respond to contractors during the construction.Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited University. Successfully passed the FE exam and possess EI Certification. Minimum of 2 years relevant design experience with building mechanical systems. Autodesk Revit Mechanical drafting experience. Organized and able to handle multiple tasks at a time. Self-starter who can work independently and be part of a team.
