Mechanical Engineer Tramper Technology USA Charlotte, NC Job Details Full-time $70,000 - $100,000 a year 5 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering English Driver's License Autodesk Inventor Design of mechanical systems Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Tramper Technology USA, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, that supplies innovative, high-quality food packaging machinery in close collaboration with our Dutch parent company and South African affiliate. We are currently seeking a dependable Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing U.S.-based team at this new location. Initial training will be provided locally, with the opportunity for more advanced training at our headquarters in The Netherlands. This is an on-site, full-time role based in Charlotte, with occassional travel to support the commissioning of our food packaging solutions.
Core Responsibilities:
Design client-specific tooling sets to integrate with our existing product range. Develop factory layouts and drive process optimization. Design and develop new equipment tailored to specific customer needs. Collaborate daily with our international engineering and project teams. Manage project timelines and resource planning. Assist with the hands-on commissioning of machinery on-site and abroad.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited US institution. 0-3 years of experience in mechanical design or a related field. Proficiency in component and machine design using Autodesk Inventor. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and commitment to quality. Professional proficiency in English. Valid driver's license and ability to obtain passport. Availability to travel internationally for machine installations.
Preferred Additional Skills & Experience:
Experience in mechanical assembly or machine building environments. Familiarity with food packaging or manufacturing industries. Ability to execute Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on mechanical components. Strong interest in Strength of Materials, Mechanics of Machines, and Machine Design. Knowledge of thermodynamic heat transfer simulations.
