Product Design Engineer responsible for developing and implementing mechanical design improvements that enhance product cost, quality, performance, and manufacturability. Job Requirements Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Proficiency with 3D CAD and engineering systems such as Creo, Windchill, SAP, and ANSYS. Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, structural, and powertrain systems. Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electromechanical systems. Working knowledge of technical drawings and GD&T. Experience taking designs from concept through production implementation. Experience performing engineering calculations and data analysis. Experience supporting multiple engineering projects with defined implementation schedules. Preferred Skills Advanced engineering degree. Experience with commercial mowing equipment or related industries. Experience with gasoline and diesel engines and associated engine systems. Experience with design for manufacturing techniques. Knowledge of systems engineering methodologies. Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies. Job Responsibilities Develop and implement design solutions to improve the cost, quality, and performance of existing products. Manage multiple engineering projects aligned to defined implementation dates. Perform root cause analysis on product and engineering issues. Develop and implement corrective actions. Create and revise 3D CAD models and engineering designs. Perform engineering calculations and analyze technical data. Review and apply technical drawings and GD&T requirements. Support mechanical, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, structural, and powertrain system development. Support design changes from concept through manufacturing and production implementation. Apply design for manufacturing principles to product improvements. Provide engineering support to manufacturing, product development, and other technical teams.
