Mechanical Engineer
QT-CORPORATION CAREER OPPORTUNITY
This position requires applicants' citizenship, no visa Position Summary QT Corporation in Goldsboro, North Carolina, invites applications from qualified engineering professionals for the position of Mechanical Engineer. This is not a remote work position. QT Corporation is a leader in electrical Switchboard, energy storage, data center, solar and EV charging industries controls equipment, delivering innovative engineering solutions to clients across the industry. We are growing our engineering team and seeking a skilled mechanical engineer with mechanical expertise to support our design and documentation needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, analysis, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment in support of the Corporation's operational objectives. This role demands a high degree of technical proficiency, professional integrity, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Direct report to the engineering manager. Primary Responsibilities
  • Design, analyze, and test mechanical systems and components in accordance with applicable engineering standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet project scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation including drawings, specifications, calculations, and engineering reports.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable safety regulations, quality standards, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Provide technical support for the installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues in a timely and cost-effective manner. Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in a mechanical engineering capacity.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including but not limited to AutoCAD, Inventor, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong command of engineering fundamentals, analytical methods, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences. Preferred Qualifications The following qualifications are advantageous and will be given favorable consideration during the selection process:
  • Switchgear experience (strongly preferred)
  • Electrical systems knowledge
  • Industrial or manufacturing background
  • Project management experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
  • Power distribution equipment
  • Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing processes What we offer
