Senior R&D Engineer

Senior R D Engineer Engineering Lincolnton, North Carolina Professional Direct Hire Mar 17, 2026 HTI is seeking a Senior R D Engineer for a client in the textile/nonwoven industry. This role will focus on the design, development, and testing of new technical nonwoven products while supporting cross-functional teams in bringing new materials and applications to market. This position is Direct Hire with a salary range of $95,000 - $100,000 depending on experience.

What You Need:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Polymer, Textile, Materials Science, or related engineering field 3-5+ years of R D or product development experience Textile or nonwoven industry experience preferred Experience with coating and finishing of textiles/nonwovens preferred Experience with laboratory analytical instrumentation is a plus Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively across departments Willingness to travel as needed

What Your Role Will Look Like:

The Senior R D Engineer will support the research and development of new technical nonwoven products while coordinating closely with production, operations, and commercial teams. Design and develop new technical nonwoven products to support company growth Plan, coordinate, and document product development projects across departments Conduct and document laboratory experiments and testing Assist with intellectual property documentation and patent support Monitor and track project milestones and development timelines Evaluate new materials and applications for potential product use Support raw material qualification and continuous improvement initiatives Serve as a technical resource for production and operations teams requiring chemical or technical expertise Assist sales and procurement teams with technical guidance as needed Perform additional duties as assigned About HTI Human Technologies, Inc.
