Wendell, NC (Hybrid - 3 days onsite/week) Our client is hiring an R&D Design Engineer to design and refine switch devices, switchgear, and circuit breakers, working alongside international cross-functional teams to bring innovative, reliable solutions to market.
Responsibilities include:
Create and refine designs for power distribution equipment, including switch devices, switchgear, and circuit breakers Lead prototyping and testing phases, analyzing results to validate and refine designs Collaborate with international, cross-functional teams across manufacturing, quality assurance, and product management Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes Identify and implement innovative approaches to improve product functionality, efficiency, and sustainability Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for assigned design initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering 3+ years of experience in R&D and design roles, specifically in power distribution or electrical equipment Direct experience designing switch devices, switchgear, or circuit breakers
Preferred Qualifications:
