Research and Development (R D) Engineer/Lab Tech- Co-op TekniPlex - 2.8 Winston-Salem, NC Job Details $22 an hour 2 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Housing allowance 401(k) Qualifications Customer communication Professional ethics High school diploma or GED Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Job Description Provide developmental support in Pilot Plant by assisting machine operator, planning and executing trials, and implement solutions for operations. Assistance in Pilot plant will include operation of machine from a first person perspective. Planning and execution of trials will include following the development cycle through our internal operations to finished product. Implementation of operations solutions will include projects to identify inventory, run rates, and extruder-laminator run parameters. Test plans will include organizing analysis requests for both long term and short term testing needs. Package testing will include, but is not limited to heat seals, mullen burst, caliper, basis weight, COF, tensile strength and elongation, and permeation. Write reports summarizing findings. Use of Strong analytical practices. Provide physical testing and analytical support for product development, external customers, and internal troubleshooting activities Document test results accurately and in a timely manner in Lotus Notes Analysis Request Database Prepare written reports or presentations for customers that clearly summarize findings Interact with customer, operational, and quality personnel to identify and resolve product performance issues Interact with operations and manufacturing personnel to develop trial structures and troubleshooting issues Prepare Trial Plans through Lotus Notes Trial database, follow trials through manufacturing, and complete necessary Trial Summaries Develop and maintain Pilot Plant, Development area, and Laboratory inventories of trial rolls

Intern Benefits Package:
$22.00/hour $500 sign on bonus, subject to taxes, paid within 30 days of hire $400/ month (Housing stipend) subject to taxes Eligible to accrue PTO right away (5 Days) (40hrs =$840.00) Eligible for holiday pay, overtime and benefits (3 Holidays) + (2 Christmas) if you stay until Dec 21st) _ (5 Days) (40Hours=$840.00) Option for direct deposit, 401k Mentorship opportunities/team-bonding activities We do not provide housing or transportation, only 1-2 miles from Wake Forest University (Plenty of housing available).
