Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTIONAs Sr. Engineer, Assume leader's role for project mechanical system design. Coordinate, assist or participate as project team leader for mechanical design and other tasks.

Guide, mentor and develop junior engineers on project team.

Assist in internal review, quality, building construction code analysis and develop design criteriaContribute to development of office standards, policies, and proceduresAdhere to established project goals and objectives including schedule and budgetAs Sr. or Mid-level Engineer, Prepare complete mechanical engineering design scope reports, calculations, sizing, layouts, drawings, specifications and other documents for building systems for education, public housing, healthcare, higher education, transportation facilitiesConceptualize initial design and develop comprehensive mechanical system design.

Conduct site & condition surveys and prepare engineering documents as requiredCoordinate with Architects, other Engineering disciplines, contractors, clients and othersAttend meetings with clients and others for review, construction phase and as requiredProvide follow-up and engineering supervision during project construction phase
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Master's Degree is preferred.5 years or more HVAC, building mechanical systems design experience, preparing drawings & specs for HVAC systems for large commercial, institutional, and residential projectsStrong Technical knowledge of simple and complex HVAC systemsAutoCAD proficiency and REVIT experienceExperience in engineering services during project constructionKnowledge of NY and NJ Building Construction Codes & Standards
