Job Description
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join the owner's design team supporting the design, construction, commissioning, and startup of the TRISO Fuels Facility. Working primarily from the Albuquerque design office during the initial phase, this individual will translate process and operational requirements into practical, maintainable, and constructible facility-level mechanical solutions across HVAC, chilled water, piping, utilities, equipment, and supporting infrastructure. The Mechanical Engineer will provide design inputs and documentation to engineering contractors; develop and maintain PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, datasheets, technical packages, and procurement documentation; review contractor and vendor designs for compliance with project requirements; coordinate mechanical interfaces across engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations teams; support equipment selection, purchasing, testing, installation, startup, and turnover; and independently lead smaller engineering projects. The role emphasizes overall facility and system design rather than detailed component or individual skid design and requires strong engineering judgment, initiative, technical communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a multidisciplinary project environment. Pay ranges from $50-65/hr depending on experience. We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal.com.
