Job Title:
Mechanical Design Engineer Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where you'll be responsible for the design and development of mechanical systems, with a particular focus on engine or fluid-based systems and complex electromechanical devices. This role involves working on cutting-edge projects in the fields of drones, aerospace, and precision devices, utilizing your expertise in SolidWorks and mechanical engineering. Responsibilities Design mechanical systems, particularly engine or fluid-based systems. Develop complex electromechanical devices with a mechanical focus. Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed designs and models. Design and optimize fluid systems, ensuring an understanding of flow, pressure, stability, and system behavior. Create systems that effectively move fluid, control vacuum/pressure, and maintain stability during operation. Produce detailed technical documentation, including test protocols, change orders, design documentation, and support for FDA submissions. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including validation, verification, and FDA clearance processes. Essential Skills Proficiency in SolidWorks. Experience in mechanical and fluid system design. Strong understanding of flow analysis and stability testing. Excellent technical writing skills for documentation and regulatory submissions. Experience in regulated environments and familiarity with FDA processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with drones, aerospace, or precision device design. Ability to work in a collaborative and agile environment. Hands-on approach with the backing of strong resources. Work Environment You will be part of a 14-person team in an open seating, highly collaborative environment where everyone interacts with each other. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reno, NV. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $43.26/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
