Full-time, on-site Job Overview We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to support large-scale industrial and EPC project work. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity. Candidates must be comfortable working on-site in Reno during the temporary period, with the ability to relocate full-time if the role converts into a permanent offer. The successful candidate will support mechanical design, equipment coordination, technical documentation and construction support across complex industrial and facility-based projects. Key Responsibilities Support mechanical design from concept through construction Work across mechanical systems, equipment layouts, piping, utilities and process-related scopes Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation Coordinate with electrical, civil, structural, architectural and construction teams Support RFIs, submittals, field issue resolution and construction administration Assist with equipment selection, vendor coordination and technical bid reviews Ensure work is delivered in line with applicable codes, standards and project requirements Provide technical support during installation, commissioning and turnover Work closely with engineering, procurement, construction and project management teams Requirements Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Experience within industrial, manufacturing, EPC, heavy commercial or process environments Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, piping or utilities Ability to read and review technical drawings and specifications Experience supporting projects through design and construction phases Comfortable working with field/construction teams Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam or similar tools would be beneficial Ideal Background Candidates may come from industrial manufacturing, EPC, process plants, energy, infrastructure, heavy commercial, chemical, battery, recycling, semiconductor or large-scale facility project environments. Position Details This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position. The role will begin on a temporary basis with the intention of converting into a permanent position if it is a strong fit on both sides. Candidates must be comfortable working on-site in Reno, Nevada and open to relocation if the role converts into a permanent offer.
