As a Project Executive , you will have the opportunity to lead a portfolio of mechanical construction projects and the teams responsible for delivering them across SVM's Nevada operations. Leveraging your technical expertise in HVAC, plumbing, piping, and design-build construction, you will play a crucial role in developing high-performing teams and providing executive oversight throughout the project lifecycle. By ensuring teams have the direction, resources, and support needed to achieve project goals, you will help deliver safe, high-quality work, build lasting client relationships, and reinforce SVM's reputation as the contractor of choice. What You Will Do Project & Portfolio Leadership Lead a portfolio of mechanical construction projects of varying size, scope, complexity, and value from preconstruction through closeout. Ensure assigned projects meet established deadlines and schedule commitments, remain compliant with contractual obligations, and achieve safety, quality, financial, and client-service expectations. Maintain visibility into project progress, staffing, labor performance, procurement, schedules, financial results, contractual requirements, and emerging risks. Ensure effective project startup, turnover, commissioning, closeout, and lessons-learned processes. Team Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and develop a project management team of 5-10 or more employees, including Project Administrators, Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Senior Project Managers. Evaluate team capacity and individual strengths, assign projects and responsibilities, establish clear expectations, coach performance, and create meaningful development opportunities. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and open communication across project teams. Financial, Contract & Risk Management Lead recurring project and portfolio reviews focused on cost forecasts, labor and material performance, cash flow, billings, collections, change management, margin, schedule, and project risk. Partner with Project Managers, field leadership, and Accounting to identify performance concerns and implement timely corrective actions and recovery plans. Review project contracts, estimates, scopes of work, schedules, procurement plans, subcontractor commitments, and change orders to identify risk and confirm contractual requirements. Oversee contract compliance, change management, claims, disputes, and other escalated project matters in partnership with the appropriate internal stakeholders. Field & Operational Alignment Maintain regular communication with field leadership to evaluate manpower requirements, labor productivity, project constraints, installation sequencing, and field feedback. Champion SVM's safety culture and hold project teams accountable for compliance with company, client, and regulatory safety requirements. Provide leadership for design-build project delivery by coordinating with Engineering, Detailing, Fabrication, Procurement, Construction, Accounting, and other internal teams. Ensure project commitments, scope requirements, and execution plans are clearly communicated to project and field teams. Monitor subcontractor, vendor, and trade-partner performance and support project teams in addressing issues that may affect cost, quality, schedule, or project delivery. Client Relationships & Business Support Build and maintain strong relationships with General Contractors, clients, owners, design partners, trade partners, and other key stakeholders. Serve as an executive point of contact for assigned projects, manage stakeholder expectations, resolve escalated concerns, and support outcomes that encourage client satisfaction and repeat business. Participate, as needed, in select pursuits, proposals, interviews, and relationship-building activities that support future work. This position is primarily responsible for project execution and operational performance rather than direct business development. Support departmental and company initiatives as business needs require. Education, Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant mechanical construction experience. 12+ experience managing commercial mechanical construction projects involving HVAC, plumbing, piping, or related building systems. Demonstrated experience managing/building teams of 5+ people. Strong ability to coach, mentor, train, and hold team members accountable while supporting their professional development. Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and other design software. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and BuildingConnected. Demonstrates proficiency using estimating software, fastDUCT and fastPIPE highly preferred, not required. Proven ability to manage a diverse range of project budgets. Highly skilled in building relationships with clients. Outstanding ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written. Compensation & Company Benefits Include This is a full-time exempt position. The compensation for this role is $185,000 - $250,000 annually and is based on experience and skillset.
