A Mechanical Engineer researches, designs, develops, constructs, and tests mechanical devices including machines, engines and tools. Works on devices ranging from power generators to household dishwashers to surgical equipment. May specialize in a particular type of machine or tool. May develop new devices or improve existing ones to run more efficiently.

Job Duties Design and Development:
Create and refine mechanical components and processes using CAD software. Develop prototypes and oversee testing to validate design functionality and performance. Ensure components meet customer specifications.
Analysis and Problem-Solving:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and procurement, to support project objectives. Communicate technical findings and project updates to stakeholders. Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
Manufacturing Support:
Assist in the transition of components to production. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve production challenges. Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Compliance and Documentation:
Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including technical drawings, processes, and specifications. Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards and regulations. Ensure compliance with Rand's AS9100
Quality Management System Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field Preferred. Experience in Defense related Manufacturing is a plus. Experience with CNC machining is a plus. Prior Management Experience is a plus. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo). Strong analytical skills. Knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Strong communication and project management skills.
