Contract Compensation:
$80-85/hr Per diem: $329/day mob/demob Responsibilities Coordinate plant engineering functions and provide immediate technical troubleshooting for daily operations, maintenance teams, and forced outages. Monitor, analyze, and evaluate the performance of critical mechanical systems, specifically rotating equipment such as gas/steam turbines, pumps, and compressors. Collect and analyze operating data, conduct performance efficiency modeling, and develop data-driven recommendations to maximize plant profitability and reliability. Manage plant design modifications, develop project plans, assemble installation work packages, and oversee field execution and commissioning. Ensure all engineering activities and modifications comply with environmental regulations, standard design codes, and plant safety parameters. Requirements A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline from an accredited institution. Typically requires 3 to 5+ years of journeyman-level engineering experience within electrical power generation, heavy industrial environments, or rotating equipment specialties. Senior-level tracks require 10+ years. Proficiency with condition monitoring, data-driven analytics, and model-building tools. Solid working knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, power plant cycles, and materials verification. Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel for data manipulation) and computer-based plant monitoring interfaces. Strong analytical problem-solving skills, independent judgment, and excellent cross-functional communication skills to coordinate between plant operators, technicians, and corporate leadership.
